1 hour 45 min ago
For its 25th season, The Real World will again make a return trip to a city where it's been before: Las Vegas. The MTV show aired its first season there in 2002, and then returned to the same $2 million suite at The Palms for a reunion season in 2007. The new season will be filmed at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, Vevmo reports, citing both tweets and job postings from mid-August. Vevmo has... keep reading »

Former Celebrity Mole PA now oversees production on Survivor, Big Brother

5 hours 52 min ago
Over the summer, CBS hired that Louis Boyd as vice president for alternative programming (i.e. reality TV) to report to executive vice president for alternative programming Jen Bresnan, who was hired two years ago. In June, Bresnan told The Hollywood Reporter, "As a producer who I've worked with, I know firsthand that Louis brings a wealth of valuable experience to the table." Among that experience: Boyd worked as a production assistant on Celebrity Mole Hawaii.... keep reading »

Big Brother's Allison Grodner on live feed watchers (including Les Moonves), sex, bigotry, and more

8 hours 55 min ago
After TV critics' tour of the Big Brother house, executive producer Allison Grodner answered questions in the green room, where a bowl of slop was on the table for everyone to try, and a refrigerator was marked with a sign that says "The contents of this fridge are for the Houseguests only." The conversation was mostly tame, probably because no one had ever really watched the show before, or at least not paid attention intensely... keep reading »

Teresa Giudice's property to be auctioned, including a stroller and a suit of armor

10 hours 26 min ago
Teresa Giudice might continue to dismiss stories about bankruptcy as "gossip" even as she defends filing for bankruptcy as an American cornerstone, but the contents of her home are scheduled to be auctioned to pay off her creditors on Oct. 3, after being postponed from its original Aug. 22 date. While a public auction may not happen, for now, you can see all of Theresa's property that is being auctioning off. (Most recently, Teresa has... keep reading »

Aerosmith's Joe Perry mad about Steven Tyler's American Idol job

10 hours 46 min ago
Aerosmith's Joe Perry is so pissed about Steven Tyler joining American Idol as a judge, calling the show "one step above (Teenage Mutant) Ninja Turtles," and saying it's beneath his bandmate: "I'll tell you one thing, when we put this band together, this is not something that (Steven Tyler) would do. It's his business, but I don't want Aerosmith's name involved with it. We have nothing to do with it." He's so mad that soon,... keep reading »

The Amazing Race 17 clip that proves this season will be great

September 7, 2010 - 4:38pm
If The Amazing Race 17 is as weak as the last few seasons, it will still be great thanks to its inclusion of this clip. It's just unbelievable and hilarious and awful all at once. I suppose it constitutes a mild spoiler, but it's out of context and is ultimately just a few seconds. And it was sent out by CBS publicity this afternoon, so it can't be that bad, though CBS has been known... keep reading »

Tim Gunn's gossip-filled book out today, and he says "I fear retribution"

September 7, 2010 - 1:59pm
Project Runway mentor Tim Gunn has a new book out today, and unlike his previous book, this one might get him into trouble. While it's titled Gunn's Golden Rules: Life's Little Lessons for Making It Work, the book isn't just innocuous advice. Instead, it's described as including "delightfully dishy stories of fashion's greatest divas, behind-the-scenes glimpses of Runway's biggest drama queens, and never-before-revealed insights into Tim's private life." There's an excerpt on ABC News' web... keep reading »

Big Brother live feeds blocked as CBS pre-tapes Wednesday episode

September 7, 2010 - 10:00am
As if the people who paid for the Big Brother live feeds weren't already getting screwed by the lameness of this season's cast and the coma that has been the past week or two, but they are really getting their money's worth today and tomorrow as CBS has cut the live feeds. That's apparently so CBS can pre-tape Wednesday's episode, which includes an eviction and the final head of household competition, which will occur with... keep reading »

September 7, 2010 - 8:13am
Danielle Staub has officially left The Real Housewives of New Jersey after two seasons, leaving the show without its villain and entire source of drama for the two-part reunion, which ended last night. Although Bravo's obnoxious promos promised that someone would leave! forever!, the announcement came in a statement instead, which leaves the door open for Danielle to return on her own show. The statement from Andy Cohen on--where else!--BravoTV.com said, "The reunion was Danielle's... keep reading »

Fox's X Factor may take judge, host from UK version, which will break next year

September 7, 2010 - 7:51am
When The X Factor debuts in the US next fall on Fox, it may look a lot like the UK version, as its host, Dermot O'Leary, and one of its judges, Cheryl Cole, are both reportedly heading for the Fox version. And the UK version won't air next year because judge and producer Simon Cowell doesn't want to divide his attention. "At the moment you are going to see me doing one show next year... keep reading »

Ragan out but Big Brother gets real drama from Matt smugly confessing wife lie

September 3, 2010 - 6:35am
At the start of Big Brother 12's penultimate Thursday episode, Ragan said, "I am not just going to roll over and die. I'm going to find a way to guarantee another week in the house." Make that the jury house, because he was evicted. I'll give him credit, though: He tried. Does Tim Gunn's outrage mean that Project Runway is better this season?

September 2, 2010 - 8:26pm
I confess: the one minute and nine seconds of Project Runway 8 below is the only part of this season that I've seen. I gave up during last season, and couldn't imagine coming back for extended 90-minute episodes. However, friends and others who still watch tell me this season is a vast improvement over the last two, which were Lifetime and Bunim-Murray's first two attempts at taking over Bravo's and Magical Elves' signature series, the... keep reading »

Big Brother will be preempted, delayed tonight by football for many people

September 2, 2010 - 9:50am
Big Brother 12's lack of drama will be delayed for many people across the country, while others will see the show on a different channel. While people in bulky costumes slamming into each other and competing as if winning actually matters might typically be confused with the reality competition, I can assure you it's something different, even with all the ass-slapping. That's because of final pre-season NFL football games tonight, which reality blurred TSG and... keep reading »

Big Brother houseguests actively resist playing the game, clean house instead

September 2, 2010 - 6:30am
Big Brother's singing clam and sock puppets made to look like the houseguests should have one giant mouth hug to viewers. Instead, they came off as a barely reconfigured challenge from last season and a bit that lasted only a few minutes and was almost ignored by some of the houseguests, like Enzo, whose puppet moved its mouth once for every three or four sentences he spoke. There were good moments here: I laughed out... keep reading »
